The gifted footballer equalised for Atletico Madrid during the first leg of the Spanish club’s Champions League semi-final against Arsenal at The Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

Exhibiting incredible composure, the superstar stepped up and sent the ball spiralling past David Raya, who was rooted to the spot.

After the celebrations died down, Darren Fletcher announced on the TNT Sports broadcast, that the Argentine had made history.
The 54-year-old exclaimed: “20 goals in all competitions now for Julian Alvarez. The first player in the history of Atletico Madrid to get into double figures in a Champions League season.”
