Luis Enrique told reporter he was very tired

At 12:15 AM, Luis Enrique sat down at the press conference following a game that will go down in the history books.

However, while thrilled with the victory, it comes as no major surprise that he was exhausted by the drama that had transpired that evening.

After getting out two words of his opening question, a journalist was interrupted by the coach, who had to get one simple point across.

He explained: “The match started on Tuesday, it’s now Wednesday, so short questions please. You can understand that, though, no? We’ll see.”

After letting the room know all about his tiredness, Enrique proceeded to answer everything the media threw at him.

He exclaimed: “It was a match that showed the incredible level of the two teams. I think both teams showed the type of football we love.

“I am so tired yet I haven’t even run a kilometre, so I can only imagine how the players must be. The match had everything.”

When asked about the return leg next week, Enrique replied: “I am so tired [that I can barely] talk about next week’s match.”
