Moses Itauma got slapped for pushing Filip Hrgovic off the stage

In a fight that fans can’t wait for, Moses Itauma will take a monumental step up against Filip Hrgovic.

Thus far into his career, the Brit has looked nothing short of fantastic, showcasing electrifying speed, thunderous power, and a ring IQ far beyond his years. However, his opponent at the weekend has experience at the highest level in abundance and possesses the skills and physical toughness to push the prospect further than anyone has ever done before.

On Friday, they hit the scales with Itauma coming in at 247.1lbs, making him slightly heavier than the Croatian, who weighed 236.2lbs.

The pair then headed towards the fans to pose for the cameras, where Hrgovic flexed his biceps, only to be sent flying off the stage after his rival pushed him from behind.

The 34-year-old quickly retaliated, launching a slap that connected on Itauma’s face.

Giving his stance on what had occurred, Hrgovic told DAZN: “I just tell him what’s going to happen, I’ll smash him.

“He pushed me first, so I just give him back, you know. He started. [The fight is] going to be tough.”

When the Englishman was asked why he turned things violent, he replied: “I don’t know, I just lost it a little bit. But we’re here now, we’re here. Let’s go. I had a little itch, and I just had to scratch it.”
