Jose Mourinho joining Instagram has been a surprising highlight over the last few weeks.
His mundane candid shots, backed by often sassy captions has made the Tottenham manager a surprising hit on the platform.
In his latest post, he echoed the frustrations of many, taking aim at the inconveniently timed international break which has led to an even longer list of injuries for clubs all over the world.
Along with a photo of himself working out (of course), Mourinho wrote:
“Amazing week of football,
“Great emotions in the national team matches, superb friendlies and total safety.
“Covid test results after matches been played, randomers running on the pitch while team sessions are taking place and much more.
“After another training session with only 6 players, it is now time to take care of myself.”
Jose’s displeasure was only made worse when news broke that Matt Doherty, who has been a constant in the Tottenham side since joining from Wolves, had tested positive for COVID while on duty with the Republic of Ireland squad.
His side meet Manchester City in Saturday’s tea-time kickoff, reigniting the old rivalry with Pep Guardiola.
