Neymar got in Ørjan Nyland’s face during Brazil vs Norway

Fans at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, were treated to an exhilarating battle, in which one of the biggest upsets the tournament has ever seen unfolded right before their very eyes.

In the 79th minute, Erling Haaland bagged an exceptional header to give his team the lead. But the powerhouse wasn’t done yet. Haaland scored an absolute screamer to leave football enthusiasts around the world in a state of shock.

While the game was virtually over, the South American giants kept looking for a way back in. And they eventually found it in the form of a spotkick.

Neymar stepped up and effortlessly hit the back of the net. However, rather than celebrate with his teammates, he raced straight over Ørjan Nyland, getting in the goalkeeper’s face and putting his finger on his lips, in an effort to goad the far taller player.

In reaction, the Norwegian smiled and pushed his opponent away. While the icon won the battle, he lost the war. Moments later, the referee blew the whistle, eliminating the Brazilian from the competition in what is likely to be his last ever appearance on the grandest stage of them all.
