Nick Woltemade joins Juventus: Loan deal confirmed

Nick Woltemade has completed a deadline day move from Newcastle United to Juventus on a straight loan deal, according to Newcastle United. The Italian giants will pay a loan fee of £3.5m for the 24-year-old forward, who joins the Serie A club for the remainder of the season.

The deal was finalised rapidly on the final day of the transfer window. The move is a straight loan with no option or obligation for Juventus to purchase the player permanently, according to Fabrizio Romano. Woltemade travelled to Turin this morning to undergo his medical before signing the necessary paperwork to formalise the switch.

While Newcastle have sanctioned this departure, they have also been active in terms of incomings. The club confirmed the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for a reported fee of £55m, according to Ben Jacobs. The young forward has taken the number 20 shirt at St James’ Park.

Woltemade’s exit comes as a surprise late development in the window.
