Scariest fighter outside of the UFC ruthlessly knocked out in shocking upset

In recent times, outside of the UFC, perhaps no champion has been as dominant as Will Fleury. But Makhmud Muradov just reminded the world that the Irishman is human after all.

At Oktagon 92, the pair of fighting phenoms went to war in front of a raucous crowd at the Štvanice in Prague, Czech Republic.

Makhmud Muradov destroys Will Fleury

Going into the fight, Will Fleury had been on an absolute tear. Since arriving in the promotion, the powerhouse had taken over the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions, comprehensively defeating Czech legend, Karlos Vemola, in a thrilling encounter and savagely finishing Martin Buday inside the very first round.

His displays had been so brilliant that few were giving Makhmud Muradov a chance despite the esteemed mixed martial artist having re-signed with Oktagon off the back of compiling an impressive 4-2 record in the UFC.

And that idea seemed reasonable when Fleury dropped the Uzbek in the first round with a thunderous left hook.

Luckily for Muradov, the bell to end the opening segment chimed at just the right time, with the underdog able to go back to his corner, take on the advice of his coach and come out with the knowledge of how to turn the tables.

In a moment that shocked fans watching inside the arena and from the comfort of their living rooms, the ex-UFC star connected with the right hand of his life, leaving Fluery in a state of complete and utter disarray.

Smelling blood in the water, Muradov pounced like a shark, landing blows from ground and pound to close the show.

The new light heavyweight champion rejoiced, knowing he’d pulled off something truly special. However, with Fleury calling for a rematch in the post-fight press conference, it seems inevitable that Muradov will have to repeat the performance, with these two seemingly destined to battle it out once more.
