In a result that left Price shaken to his boots, Humphries ended up finding the all-important double eight to win 6-4 in sets.

Luke Humphries says Gerwyn Price played better than him in World Grand Prix Darts 2026 Final
Following his major win, Humphries gave Price enormous credit for his performance.
The 31-year-old told Sky Sports: “Gerwyn was amazing for those first three sets, and I’m not just saying this, he’s going to win a major title soon, it’s just written in the stars for him. He can’t keep playing as well as he is and not win.
“He played his part in an amazing final there. I don’t think I was the better player there; he was, but in this game, the real player that deserves to win doesn’t win. He’ll win some big titles; maybe he’ll win the World Championship or something big.”
