Tyson Fury is a bonafide boxing legend, and in 2019, he tried his hand in the WWE ring as well.
‘The Gypsy King’ has become a worldwide phenomenon and is a two-time heavyweight champion. He has recently been involved in an incredible trilogy of fights with Deontay Wilder.
He produced one of the best comebacks in boxing history in the first fight. Fury rose from the canvas after being brutally knocked down by Deontay Wilder. He wiped the American out in just seven rounds in their second contest.
The pair of heavyweight greats followed this with one of the best contests the division has ever seen. They shared a total of five knockdowns in their trilogy fight before the Morecambe man eventually finished his rival with a thunderous right hand.
Through these performances, the Brit transcended the sport of boxing to become a global superstar. He began appearing on talk shows and even enjoyed a stint in the world’s premier wrestling promotion.

Tyson Fury fights in the WWE
Preparing for a professional boxing contest is anything but easy work. Finding a way to relax is imperative for athletes. However, some find peace in different ways than others. Before his second collision with Wilder, Fury accepted a $15 million offer to compete in the WWE.
Braun Strowman was known as the ‘Monster Among Men’ by the WWE Universe, but he was no match for ‘The Gypsy King’ when the pair collided in the ring.
During Smackdown’s 20th anniversary show, the monstrous wrestler goaded the WBC heavyweight champion before ruthlessly launching Dolph Ziggler into the barricade, which knocked Fury to the floor.
Security had to restrain the enraged boxer when he jumped the barrier in an attempt to assault the perpetrator. The following night on Raw, ‘The Gypsy King’ demanded an apology from Strowman.
A mass brawl broke out when the powerhouse refused to give him what he asked for. It took the entire roster to prevent them from destroying each other. The pair agreed to settle their differences in a one-on-one match-up.
In the end, Fury’s skills came out on top against the 385-pound beast at Crown Jewel. The Gypsy King landed a massive punch which knocked Strowman out of the ring. The former WWE Universal Champion couldn’t answer the count.
Could The Gypsy King come back for more?
Fury hasn’t competed in the WWE since he teamed up with Strowman to defeat ‘The B Team’ in November 2019. But his wife, Paris, told BBC Newcastle that he’s keen to return in the future.
She said. “He is in touch with [promoter] Vince McMahon all the time. He loves it.
“My sons are all big fans of it. For Tyson to do it is kind of like a Disneyland trip, the kids love to go, and they meet all the wrestlers.
“To be that cool dad that can give them kids that dream, he does it. I think that’s one of the reasons we’ve come to do this, and obviously, being a young man, he told me he was a fan of all these wrestlers.
“So he’s probably going to go into that again. I’m sure he will bounce into that WWE ring one of the days.”
If he was to return, there is one way he could excite fans. Winning a world title in a second sport would add to his already incredible legacy. And there’s surely no doubting that this thought process has probably crossed his mind. Whether it would happen or not is another story, but it would certainly be something to witness.
