Theo Walcott could hardly contain himself ahead of Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid.
Tonight, ‘The Gunners’ made history, securing a place in the Champions League final for the first time in 20 years. And in anticipation of the result, their former player let his emotions run wild.
Theo Walcott chanted with Arsenal fans ahead of Atletico Madrid match
After securing a 1-0 win at the Emirates, Arsenal have triumphed over Atletico Madrid 2-1 on aggregate to secure a showdown against either PSG or Bayern Munich in Budapest.
Of course, with so much on the line tonight, Theo Walcott was understandably excited. Before the game, he stood alongside Gabby Logan in front of the home supporters to give his analysis on what the viewers had to expect.
While he’s retired from the sport, ‘The Gunners’ fans still adore him, with an army of them chanting ‘Theo’, while he attempted to give his opinions.

Getting caught up in the moment, the gifted former player held the mic to a supporter, who started chanting. Of course, it didn’t take Walcott long to join in. However, in an unexpected moment, he stole the man’s scarf and started swinging it around.
Users were quick to head to social media to give their opinions on what transpired.
Some slated the Englishman, with one branding it: “Cringe,” while another added: “Some nice unbiased punditry from Walcott on Amazon Prime.”
However, others loved the 37-year-old’s antics. One wrote: “Theo Walcott just hugged a guy on the front row on Amazon Prime as he sang Allez, Allez, Allez, nicked his scarf and swung it round his head. What a lad.”
A second chuckled: “Haha, that was class from Theo Walcott.”
