Riccardo Calafiori seemingly has his hand stamped on by Marc Pubill
With a place in the finale of the biggest competition in club football on the line, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are going above and beyond to secure the victory.
In the 27th minute, the match really heated up, with Marc Pubill dragging Riccardo Calafiori to the ground, resulting in the ball and the Italian himself sliding out of play.
Then, the La Liga star appeared to stamp on his rival’s hand, resulting in Calafiori releasing a shriek, prompting Jon Champion to say: “Oh dear.” Alan Shearer added: “Nasty.”
The Spaniard then attempted to help the opposition player back to his feet, but the invitation wasn’t taken advantage of.
Of course, fans were quick to head to social media to voice their opinions on the matter.
One said: “How he got away with this, I don’t know.” However, another sympathized with the Atletico man, claiming: “It did not intentionally land on his hand.”
