The WWE released the following wrestlers from their contracts yesterday, November 18, 2021: John Morrison, Swerve Scott, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, Shane Thorne, Jaxson Ryker, Drake Maverick and Tegan Nox. They were informed of WWE’s decision by the head of talent relations, John Laurinaitis.
Who are fans most annoyed about being released?
I feel so bad for Tegan Nox…

She worked her ASS off to get back from not 1, not 2, but THREE ACL tears…
Gets called up, placed in a random tag team, the team gets randomly broken up, and she’s never seen again.
I hate this goddamn company.
Evil. Pure evil. #wwereleases pic.twitter.com/BuKaFRhjRH
While the #WWEReleases hashtag has shown sympathy for all eight, a few stick out above the rest.
Swerve Scott, Top Dolla and Ashante Adonis were all part of the blossoming Hit Row faction on the main roster. Despite WWE dedicating a lot of time to these wrestlers in recent months, the company released them, serving as a body blow for many of their supporters.
Drake Maverick is a wrestler that received support from many members of the WWE Universe after the company released him in 2020. He posted an emotional video to Twitter which eventually led to him receiving another chance.
Another Brit, Tegan Nox, fought her way back from three torn ACLs only to be released just months after being part of a fun tag team alongside Shotzi.
John Morrison also had for doing some of the best in-ring work of his career during his two-year return to WWE.
Has WWE already had a round of releases this year?

AEW already has a stacked roster, but there are a few names we think they’ll consider. In particular, Swerve Scott and Tegan Nox are two wrestlers they are likely to watch.
As for the rest, other options include Impact, NJPW, MLW, to name but a few.
