Marcus Rashford was on the receiving end of a message from Anthony Gordon during Czech Republic vs England.

The European sides met in a Nations League clash at Eden Stadium in Prague, Czech Republic.

Last season, at Barcelona, Marcus Rashford rediscovered his passion for the beautiful game.

During his time playing under the Spanish sun, the Englishman looked back to his best, dazzling fans at the Nou Camp with his lightning pace and phenomenal skill.

Showcasing brilliance in abundance, Rashford scored 14 goals to help his side win La Liga.

Therefore, at the end of the campaign, many, including the player himself, expected Barca to keep him at the club. However, they opted to send him back to Old Trafford, deciding that Anthony Gordon would be a better fit for the team, signing his countryman for £69.3 million.

While neither has scored for their clubs thus far in the 2026/27 campaign, Gordon has just rubbed salt in the wounds over what happened in the summer.

While Rashford couldn’t play for England today, his national teammate most certainly could.

Gordon came off the bench and swiftly found the back of the net to break the deadlock, sending a message to Rashford that while the Manchester United star’s career is in limbo, his is thriving.

Rashford was selected by Thomas Tuchel as part of the England squad for the Nations League.

Alas, he was unable to grasp this opportunity.

The striker has been struggling with a hip injury, which forced him to withdraw from the team.
