‘Anthony Gordon is the GOAT’… Watch England take the lead with fantastic goal against Argentina

Anthony Gordon has just won the hearts of the nation with an epic goal for England in the FIFA World Cup 2026.

‘The Three Lions’ took the lead against Argentina in the semi-final of the competition at the Atlanta Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Going into tonight, the whole of England were united, believing their side could make its first World Cup final since 1966.

And in a moment of magic, they delivered a piece of play that sent fans in their living rooms, pubs and indeed in the stadium itself, into raptures.

Harry Kane dropped deep, and beautifully lifted the ball in behind, which dropped for Declan Rice, who passed the ball to Morgan Rogers on the right-hand side.

Showcasing skill in abundance, the Aston Villa man produced a tremendous cross into the six-yard box, where Anthony Gordon pounced to score a goal English football enthusiasts will never forget.

Of course, supporters in abundance took to social media to react to the goal.

One said: “Anthony Gordon, I’ve always believed in you,” while a second posted: “Anthony Gordon is the GOAT.”

Another beamed: “Anthony Gordon, I love you.” A fourth wrote: “Anthony Gordon will be a hero.”
