Alas, it now appears that his time at the Emirates has come to an end, with his club agreeing to sell him for a record-breaking fee.

The Saudi Arabian side is set to pay £55.7 million to secure the services of the talented footballer. This is the most Arsenal have ever sold a player for, far exceeding the £40 million they earned back in the summer of 2017 from Liverpool, who paid the big bucks for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Martinelli has received permission to undergo a medical with what is set to become his new club.

Martinelli isn’t the only player catching a flight out of London.
