The Portuguese star delivered a moment that the spectators in attendance at Old Trafford will never forget.

From the first whistle, the visitors were accumulating chances. And in the 29th minute, they made one count.

Abdul Fatawu burst down the right wing, leaving Luke Shaw in the dust before charging into the box. In a testament to his skill, he picked out an excellent pass that arrived at the feet of Leif Davis.

Showcasing remarkable composure, the defender smashed the ball with tremendous power, sending it hurtling into the back of the net to add the cherry on top of the cake that had been United’s awful start to the season.

However, refusing to fall off the deep end, the home side battled back, with Bruno Fernandes producing an excellent run, before smashing the ball past the goalkeeper.

While Fernandes just scored when it mattered, it doesn’t change what he said last week.

The midfielder went on a furious rant following his side’s loss to Hull.

This angered a great of the sport.

In response to what the player said, a Manchester United legend told Fernandes to ‘shut his mouth’.
