Darren Till reveals the icon he ‘needs’ to fight in BKFC next amid rumours of two potential opponents

EXCLUSIVE: Darren Till has his sights set on a showdown with a superstar.

On Saturday night, ‘The Gorilla’ returns to action in a blockbuster encounter with Yoel Romero at BKFC 94, inside the AO Arena in Manchester, UK.

For years, Darren Till and Mike Perry have exchanged verbal bombs, without ever having had the opportunity to settle their differences. Therefore, despite rumblings of a clash with Michael ‘Venom’ Page, the Liverpudlian has the desire to finally get his hands on his arch-rival.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, Till explained: “I would fight MVP. I think it would be a great fight. He’s a big name and a fantastic fighter — I’ve always admired his striking. But for me, the fighter I would chase after if I get through Yoel, would be Mike Perry. I think we’re destined to fight; it’s been going on for eight or nine years. The money would be on the table, and I think it would send waves around the world and be a massive fight on PPV.”

While Till would love to trade punches with Perry, first and foremost, he has to overcome one of the scariest men to have ever walked the face of planet Earth.

However, while the warrior knows just how big a mountain he has to climb, he’s adamant that if he senses his opponent is in danger, then he won’t hesitate in going for the knockout.

Till enthused: “I’m just expecting what Yoel is. You can’t sugarcoat it, he’s a big, intimidating guy. I do respect him. I’m going in there to knock him out, make no mistake, but I’ve got a lot of admiration and respect for him. On Saturday, we’ll stick our game plans on each other, and the best man will win. If I see the openings or him lacking, I will pounce like a shark. It’s five two-minute rounds; I’m not going to gas; I will go for it.”
