Michael Todd reveals what Devon Larratt said to him at East vs West Armwrestling 24

From winning his first world title all the way back in 2005, to defeating Devon Larratt in Atlanta with ‘The King’s Move’, to claiming a monumental upset victory to overcome Andriy Pushkar, Michael Todd had already carved out a sensational legacy.

However, he’s just added the cherry on top of the cake, by dominating Oleg Petrenko 4-0 to finally add the East vs West Armwrestling belt to his collection.

During the fight, he had ‘No Limits’ right by his side, feeding him the perfect advice to guide him through the clash.

WOW: ‘It’s going to snap’… Bogdan Stoica battled through incredible adversity to defeat Todd Hutchings at East vs West Armwrestling 24

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, Todd explained: “Devon is like some Jedi mind trick corner person. He calms you so well, he says, ‘Hey man, just keep breathing, it’s your time, it’s great, these people are here for you, just focus, you’ve got it’. He tells you that, you repeat it, and you just feel wonderful. I never felt threatened. At this lighter weight, I’m the healthiest I’ve probably been in my adult life; my blood work is amazing. It’s a great time.

“I hated to see Oleg lose on fouls, especially after the round three transition to a press. I knew in round four I’d be facing the crowd, and I would get to glorify God in that moment. I came out on top, and I think we’ve sold Arkansas on arm wrestling. I think next year we’ll sell out all four halls and not just one.”

Michael Todd continued the Andriy Pushkar saga

Todd and Pushkar shared a rivalry that will stand the test of time. And at East vs West Armwrestling 24, the American was blessed with the opportunity to continue his story with the late icon, by taking on his student.

The powerhouse enthused: “It meant the world. I spoke to Oleg, and he was very respectful and said wonderful things. I told him, ‘We’re going to do it again’. He said, ‘If you ever want to run it back, let’s do a rematch, I’ll do better next time’. I love him; he’s fantastic. He’s still a great champion on the left hand at 95KG. He’s awesome.”
