Will Kylian Mbappe play for France in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final against Spain?
The superstar didn’t make it to the end of the game during his country’s clash with Morocco at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, USA.
Kylian Mbappe will play against Spain
In the 77th minute of the quarter-final, Kylian Mbappe had no choice but to leave the field of play, with French fans concerned that the icon might not be able to continue in the competition.
Having performed so beautifully throughout the tournament thus far, there’s no denying the Real Madrid man would be a huge loss to his team. In addition, with Mbappe level on eight goals with Lionel Messi, on a personal note, it would be horrendous if he was to miss out on the opportunity to win the Golden Boot. Furthermore, with 20 all-time goals in the competition, the Frenchman only trails his rival by one in the overall tally.
Luckily, for him and indeed his people, Mbappe can play this evening.
Following his premature exit on Thursday, France manager, Didier Deschamps confirmed the legend was fine physically and had only suffered a ‘slight’ right ankle injury.
