On July 31, Luis Ortiz guided Team Miami to victory against Team Atlanta in the Team Boxing League Playoffs, with his side winning by a score of 21-11.

While renowned for his classy skills, the Cuban certainly isn’t lacking in the punch power department, having scored several high-profile stoppages throughout his career.

However, he usually doesn’t fly out of the blocks as quickly as he did on Friday night, with Ortiz bullying his opponent into the corner before unleashing beautiful shots both upstairs and downstairs to send his rival crumbling towards the canvas.

In a testament to his fighting heart, Woods beat the count, but when ‘King Kong’ started connecting with a barrage of punishing blows, the referee dived in to call a halt to the action at the 15-second mark.

The result was a far cry from their first meeting, in which the lesser-known fighter made it all the way to the final bell. However, in this format, he only had to last a single round to lose on points.

The American has a professional boxing record of 32-65-10.
