Bayern Munich wants to secure the signature of a Manchester United player.
With Vincent Kompany preparing for his third season in charge of the German club, he’s intent on bolstering his squad.
Bayern Munich wants to sign Benjamin Sesko from Manchester United
Bayern Munich have long desired Benjamin Sesko, with the Bundesliga champions now hoping they can finally bring him to the Allianz Arena.
After a slow start to life at Old Trafford following his £74 million move from RB Leipzig, the Slovenian began to find his feet in England, scoring 12 goals in all competitions last season and playing a pivotal role in helping Michael Carrick’s side make it back to the Champions League.
German publication BILD’s Christian Falk informed CF Bayern Insider that Sesko is very much on Bayern’s radar, with the side believing that bringing him in is of vital importance from a tactical perspective, with Harry Kane dropping deeper as he gets older.

The club has reportedly kept tabs on Sesko before Kompany arrived at the club in 2024.
Despite signing Morocco international, Ismael Saibari, from PSV, Bayern still wants a traditional centre-forward, believing wholeheartedly that Sesko could be the man for the job.
But with the 23-year-old having signed a five-year contract at Manchester United, it could be tough to get the transfer over the line.
When will Benjamin Sesko return for Manchester United?
Towards the end of last season, Sesko suffered a shin injury against Liverpool, which he’s still not fully recovered from.
The player hasn’t featured in United’s friendlies, and is training at Carrington in the hopes that he can regain full fitness as soon as possible.
On July 23, he shared images of himself working his way back in shape, with the caption: “Getting there.”
Sesko is expected to be available for the start of the upcoming campaign and could even play in his side’s friendly against PSG on August 8.
