In an interview on Rio Ferdinand Presents, the goalkeeper explained: “It’s really sad. It was hard to predict; he was so talented, and he started well at Spurs, and wore the national team jersey.

“The message to address for young players, is what happens if you lose focus on football? And today, it’s really easy to get distracted. You misunderstand the reality, the reality is what’s happening on the field, not everyday, that’s the job. I think talking with a lot of ex-players, I don’t think it’s any secret of the hardwork and passion you need for football.”
