Throughout the tournament, the USA have performed well, with the team showing glimpses of potential future brilliance. Alas, in their first real step up, they’ve been found wanting, with Belgium dominating the contest.
In the 9th minute, the European giants took the lead courtesy of Charles De Ketelaere. However, the hosts managed to fight back, scoring via a free kick from Malik Tillman.

Of course, fans were quick to head to social media to give their views on what transpired.
One said: “He is so frustrated with that goal,” while another added: “Pochettino’s bottle-kicking rage perfectly sums up USA’s shaky defence tonight. That second goal exposed gaps Belgium exploited ruthlessly.”
A third posted: “That’s the reaction of a manager watching his team undo all their hard work.”
