The greatest competitor in the history of the sport gave it his all in his major comeback in Jiaxing, China.

John Brzenk is a legend, with the superstar having dominated the sport of arm wrestling for years.

In a testament to his brilliance, even at the age of 62, fans couldn’t wait to see him in his return to action.

Jumping straight back into the deep end, the American agreed to take on the highly regarded Zhao Rui in an eagerly anticipated clash.

Brzenk showcased the heart he’s been renowned for throughout his career. While his rival worked incredibly hard to put him down, the Illinoisan tried everything to find a way to overcome the almighty challenge in front of him, with Neil Pickup waxing lyrical about the icon’s desire. During the broadcast, the Brit said on commentary: “Unbelievable effort from John in his shoulders.”

However, despite his best efforts, he was ultimately overwhelmed by the much younger man, who emerged with a 3-0 victory.

While Brzenk fell short, his old rival, Devon Larratt, managed to produce the goods in the main event.

‘No Limits’ picked up an excellent 4-0 win against Ivan Matyushenko.

Following the contest, attention quickly shifted to what the future has in store for the Canadian. During his East vs West 26 post-fight interview, Larratt revealed whom he wants next.
