Kai Havertz reinforces dominance over Viktor Gyokeres

With Arsenal determined to retain their title, they started at a serious pace against ‘The Sky Blues’, rendering the underdog side utterly helpless to the attacks coming its way.

In the 15th minute, the favourites took the lead with a stylish goal. Showcasing his class, Riccardo Calafiori pounced on a loose ball to feed it to Kai Havertz, who effortlessly placed his effort into the back of the net.

WOW: Wilfried Bony reveals the reason Arsene Wenger didn’t sign him for Arsenal

While Arsenal fans, and indeed, the players themselves, jumped for joy. One of the squad’s best goal-scorers might not have been too pleased. While he’ll undoubtedly be made up for his friend, the finish might not play into his hands particularly well.

Viktor Gyokeres was already the second choice, and the German scoring so quickly, will do nothing but reinforce his status as the number one pick for the striker role in the mind of Mikel Arteta.

To make matters worse, the Swede is currently fighting hard to secure a move away from the Emirates. However, if a transfer to Barcelona doesn’t work out, he may have to accept that the bulk of this season will be spent on the bench.

Arsenal refuse to accept Victor Osimhen demand

If Victor Osimhen signed for Arsenal, then Gyokeres would be in an even worse position than he is now.

The Galatasaray star is undeniably a sublimely gifted footballer.

However, after a major twist in the saga, he might end up staying in Turkey.

This is how Arsenal have potentially ruined their chance of signing Osimhen.
