Norway coming out on top against Brazil is an ideal result for England.

In a monumental upset, the underdogs overcame massive odds to eliminate the 5x champions at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.

England will play Norway rather than Brazil if they beat Mexico

On paper, Norway had little chance of getting a result against Brazil going into the match. However, in a testament to the self-belief of the players, they battled through and got the win.

Erling Haaland soared through the air to hit the back of the net with a header. And the powerhouse wasn’t done there. Haaland scored an absolute screamer to eliminate Brazil from the competition.

Prior to that match, the prospect of having to face Mexico at the Azteca, followed by a clash with the 5x champions, was an incredibly daunting prospect. And while Norway have undeniably proved themselves as a threat, many ‘Three Lions’ fans will be relieved that the prospect of having to go to war with Brazil is off the table.
