Thomas Tuchel says World Cup experience made England stronger
Tonight, England produced a tremendous performance, defeating Czech Republic 3-0 in a Nations League fixture.
During the summer, Thomas Tuchel received an enormous amount of backlash for his defensive approach against Argentina. However, while only a couple of months have passed since that harrowing night, England have seemingly turned a corner.
The gaffer, who has the side looking rejuvenated, claims the heartbreaking experience back in the US has forged a bond among the players that will take them to the next level.
When asked if the World Cup loss has made his team better than ever during his post-match interview, the German answered: “Of course. We got the first medal in sixty years, and we didn’t go out in the group stage, so of course it made us stronger. Now, we’ve had a strong camp, and we’re at a high level. We’ve learned and got stronger and shown it through these matches.”
