Ezri Konsa is officially an Arsenal player, but will he feature for his new side against Aston Villa?
Tonight, ‘The Gunners’ travel to Villa Park in the side’s second match of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
Ezri Konsa expected to play for Arsenal against Aston Villa
According to The Sun, Ezri Konsa is expected to make his debut for Arsenal in the team’s fixture with Aston Villa, and could even feature in the starting XI against his former club.
The Englishman signed for the reigning Premier League champions for an undisclosed fee, rumoured to have been around £51 million.
Konsa has been training with his new teammates since being unveiled as an Arsenal star right before the demolition job Mikel Arteta’s men did on Coventry City.
For that particular game, Konsa hadn’t quite accumulated enough minutes on the training pitch to make an appearance. However, having now put in the requisite preparation time, fans will most likely have an opportunity to see the defender in action.
With a determination to add quality players, the 28-year-old will heavily bolster Arsenal’s backline, with the ability to play either at centre-back or full-back.
Arsenal agree record-breaking deal to sell Gabriel Martinelli
With Konsa coming in, other players are having to head out, with Gabriel Martinelli set to exit stage left.
The London club has agreed a very financially lucrative deal with Al-Hilal to allow the Brazilian to head to the Saudi Pro League.
This is the record-breaking amount of money Arsenal have agreed to sell Martinelli for.
