Xabi Alonso addresses terrible Robert Sanchez mistakes for Chelsea against Fulham

Xabi Alonso has opened up about the costly mistakes Robert Sanchez made during Fulham vs Chelsea.

Consequently, Sanchez received backlash from the fans. But in a testament to his loyalty, Xabi Alonso has stood by his player.

Following the match, he told reporters: “It’s about the team; it’s not about the individual. The first goal, we can do better to defend, we can do better to avoid, but it’s part of the game. We need to accept and to learn. This is going to be a process.

“All the lines, from the strikers, the midfielders, the defence, the goalkeepers, we want to do better in everything. The goal was to start good, and we’ve been able to start well. Relax and carry on.”
