Real Madrid is also understood to be a desirable option for the prospect.

On Tuesday, the sublimely gifted footballer asked to leave Manchester United, in a move that rendered supporters of the Premier League side stunned.

The English team is currently unaware of what prompted Gabriel’s sudden change of heart, and hopes that the situation can be resolved in a timely manner.

Before the surprising twist, the 15-year-old was set to be named by Michael Carrick as part of the squad that ultimately fell short against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup.

Of course, Carrick isn’t overly pleased about the prospect of losing Gabriel.

And now, to rub salt in the wounds, a player who has the potential to become one of the biggest stars in the history of the sport, could be on his way out.
