EXCLUSIVE: Jon Jones could set foot inside the IBA Bare Knuckle ring, according to Umar Kremlev.

The popular promotion is set to make its American debut on July 18 at the James L. Knight Centre in Miami, Florida, USA.

Jon Jones, who is an ambassador for IBA Bare Knuckle, recently attended the promotion’s major event in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he quickly fell in love with what the company has to offer.

Captivated by the action on display, ‘Bones’ has developed a strong interest in making an appearance himself.

During an exclusive interview with Sporf, IBA President, Umar Kremlev, revealed: “We have discussed this with him a lot. He is a good friend, our ambassador and partner. He confirmed he is ready to fight; he’s just waiting for a good opponent and a good offer. He’s eagerly waiting to try this opportunity.”

While the idea of Jones fighting in IBA Bare Knuckle is undoubtedly a mouth-watering prospect, there’s plenty of other fascinating match-ups that combat sports enthusiasts can get their teeth sunk into on Saturday night, notably the headline attraction between Elvin ‘El Bandito’ Brito and UFC veteran Viacheslav ‘Slava Claus’ Borshchev, as well as the showdown between former WBA boxing World Champion Javier ‘El Abejón’ Fortuna and Alejandro Munera.

Kremlev beamed: “Of course, the main event stands out; it’s a really powerful fight, but all the match-ups are very competitive, I’m very confident about that. I want to stress that we’ve put together a really strong card that will make fans excited. We want intrigue in our fights; it’s not clear who is the favourite and who is the underdog, fans want to witness with their own eyes who the winner will be. For us, it’s just the start in the USA. And I’m confident very soon you’re going to see the biggest bare-knuckle event in the world. Every event we have will raise the bar, and the best fighters in the world will compete in IBA Bare Knuckle.”
