Going into the match, Argentina were massive favourites to dominate Egypt and cruise into the final eight. However, in what was almost a seismic upset, the reigning champions were nearly dumped out of the competition.
The African side hit the ground running, taking the lead in the 15th minute. However, it looked like that advantage wasn’t going to last for long when Argentina were awarded a penalty.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, the American beamed: “It worked. I distracted Messi.”
It’s unclear whether the legend noticed the influencer or not. Regardless, after his side went 2-0 down, the superstar redeemed himself by scoring one of his country’s three goals to secure a spot in the next round of the competition.
