Arsenal have set their sights on securing the services of Rio Ngumoha from Liverpool.

The talented athlete made his senior debut for ‘The Reds’ in January 2025, in an FA Cup match against Accrington Stanley, becoming the side’s youngest ever player to feature in the competition.

Now, the winger, who is 18, has cemented his place as a regular in the first team, with many considering him to be one of the most exciting young talents on the planet.

Thus far in the 2026/27 campaign, Ngumoha has played in three of Liverpool’s four opening Premier League matches, and also started in the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid.

During a fascinating Q&A with The Athletic, football correspondent David Ornstein revealed that his sources had informed him that Arsenal were indeed after the youngster’s signature, and that he is well ‘liked’ at the North London club.

Will Rio Ngumoha leave Liverpool for Arsenal?

Ornstein claimed that there is currently ‘no suggestion’ that the flashy player is unhappy at Anfield, and stressed that Liverpool have no intentions of giving Arsenal a free run at signing the England international.

On the contrary, in sad news for fans of the current champions of England, Ngumoha’s side will reportedly soon commence a strong effort to tie him down to a long-term contract.
