Mikel Arteta wasn’t happy with Arsenal’s timing and compactness

Showcasing brilliance in abundance, Arsenal reminded the world why they’re one of the best clubs on the planet.

With the intent of retaining their Premier League title, the London side cruised to victory, with Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard each finding the back of the net to send shockwaves through the English footballing sphere.

However, as good as the team performed today, in the eyes of Mikel Arteta, they certainly weren’t perfect.

During his post-match interview with Sky Sports, he was asked what his squad needs to do to improve. And in a testament to his honesty, the Spaniard opened up about the elements of his side’s display that left him less than impressed.

Arteta explained: “Day by day, it will be in relation to opponents as well — we’ll have different ideas of things we want to do. Today, there were some very good moments, but there were moments in the second-half after the third goal that I wasn’t too happy about: the timing and compactness of the team. We need to keep improving.”
