The talented athlete made a massive impact throughout the competiton, playing a pivotal role in guiding Spain to the final where they defeated Argentina 1-0 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.

On a day he’ll treasure for the rest of his life, Rodri wore a World Cup Winners’ medal around his neck after reaching the pinnacle of the footballing mountain. During the competition, the superstar was nothing short of sensational. His performances were held in an extremely high regard, with Rodri winning the Golden Ball Award.

For winning the World Cup, Spain received an incredible $50 million (£37.45 million).

From the figure awarded to the federation by FIFA, an estimated 45% is expected to be handed out as player bonuses, which equates to around $25.9 million (£19,451,806).

When this number is divided amongst the roster of 26 players, each member of the squad is handed a tasty $995,000 (£747,340). However, while this amount of money is certainly tremendous to receive on its own, with the legend having brand deals with an array of massive companies, he will likely have flown home with an even bigger figure hitting his bank account.
