Tyson Fury’s cousin James Dean Fury received some harsh words in the corner during his professional boxing debut.

The 20-year-old emerged victorious against Dzmitry Atrokhau on the undercard of the rematch between Troy Williamson and Callum Simpson at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, UK.

With the surname Fury comes enormous pressure, with James Dean Fury feeling the brunt of that this evening. The warrior who’s showcased talent in abundance throughout his amateur career, has finally set foot in the professional ring.

During his first bout, he showcased the flashy skills and head movement associated with Tyson Fury. However, vulnerabilites raised their ugly head as well, which is, of course, to be expected in a pro debut.

The commentary team of Darren Barker and Barry Jones noticed that he was throwing far too many shots with no power and also leaving his chin up in the air, resulting in his opponent connecting with powerful head shots.

In between the fifth and sixth rounds, the prospect received a telling off from his coach. Straight away, ‘Dazzling’ pointed out: “Peter Fury is not happy.”

His comment was quickly proved correct, with the esteemed trainer raging to his fighter: “Are your hands broken? Why can’t you put a hard punch together? He’s wide open. Catch his shots, open him up. I want to see some straight shots down the middle, do you understand. Listen, you could beat this fella with one arm, put your shots together and let’s see some quality punches.”
