However, in the second segment, Darren Till began to let his hands go, catching Yoel Romero with jabs, and a thunderous left hand that rocked the Cuban’s head back.

Realising he needed to make a mark, Romero started the third at pace, landing ferocious shots to the body, before detonating a bomb on the Liverpudlian’s face that appeared to drop him to the canvas. However, the referee didn’t score it as such.

At the start of the fourth, Till was left covered in blood, with a severe cut opening on his face. However, in a testament to his fighting spirit, he battled on, exchanging blows with his foe.

With just two minutes left to go, the pair put it all on the line in the final round.

After a tremendous contest, Till was awarded with the unanimous decision victory.
